Never Stopping and Always Inspiring – Our Anniversary

Hello-Hello! Today is a special day for LMB and myself, we tied the knot 9 years ago today. We were young, and had no idea what we were doing, but we knew we didn’t want anything else. I like to take these very fast years of our marriage and reflect on some wonderful moments of year 9, because to me this marriage is one big adventure, with one of the strongest and inspiring people in the world.

This little gal has my heart. From the early morning coffee to the… “I JUST WANT TO GO TO BED… STOP COMING UP WITH PROJECTS!!!” She doesn’t stop moving, and I do my best to catch up with her everyday.

This fun new estate is what we have dreamed about 9 years ago. We are having so much fun changing, and making it ours, while learning what God has planned for us. We can’t wait to chase the little niños around in the near future.

The projects keep going and we keep laughing. We wake up every morning, and go to bed every night thankful for no more deployments, duties, and cherish these years together by ourselves. Like most military families, our first 3 years of marriage, we didn’t get to spend much time together… and it’s time to make up for that.

The weekend adventures. While we enjoy being home, we also love daily road trips to our favorite spots. Our Saturday typically consists, of morning coffee, and a random adventure. Come home-do some work, go get P.F. Chang’s, a little more work, and a movie. Wouldn’t ask for anything else.

Oh! Can’t leave out The Found Cottage. While this little entity has claimed many hours of our life, we both have so much love and joy for this outlet. The customers are great, and its a great way for LMB to connect with many readers, but the partners and vendors have really helped us root back into Grand Rapids, inspiring us along our journey. We would be lost without them.

We have had many losses in our life, fathers, grandfathers, and our angel babies. Somehow we know that those people, and those pregnancies served their purpose, and God has decided for us to continue to walk on the path He has created for us. We miss each and everyone of them so very much, but we are so thankful, grateful, and humbled by all of our experiences. I would not change one thing about our life together, and I am so very thankful for each and every day of those 9 years.

Which brings me to this moment. There are many moments of laughter and jokes LMB and myself share, for instance she is so tiny, I question if she is a real human. If you ever hear me call her a creature, that is what I am referring too. Or when she catches me starring at her, I tell her.. I just like watching her function in life. I love this little creature, she is the hardest working person I know, never stopping and always inspiring. I don’t know what or why she works so hard, but I know she is doing what she loves and that makes me so very happy. Happy Anniversary Mrs. LMB!!!
