Shiplap Dining Room Makeover – Enjoying the ride

Hello! Last week over at LMB, she shared our Dining Room Makeover. It is taking us much longer than expected. I'll key you in to some of the areas I found to be a DIY pain when hanging shiplap, but we figured it out. We are excited to announce that is officially ready for painting. We are enjoying the ride on our first bigger project in this forever home. Enjoying The Ride If your like me, you put everything on the clock. Years back, a road trip from NC to Grand Rapids comes to mind. It would start off with me stressing to get to GR in the quickest amount of time possible. DIY Primitive Dinning Room Table

Hi guys, welcome back. If you keep up with LMB's Instagram, she posted a sneak peek of a primitive dinning room table last week, and well here it is. The DIY primitive dinning room table was a real fun build and actually inspired by last months magazine from  Anthropologie. The legs I really took appreciation for because of the chunk and scrapes along the edges. The Build. I purchased the same materials as my previous DIY Farmhouse Table, with the exception of the legs. I purchased 4 2x4. The top was the first step of this build, and I used the pre-fabricated tongue in groove pine. I used Gorilla Glue for the joints, following the instructions, damp the mating surface with a wet rag and … [Read more...]

DIY Kitchen BookShelf

Welcome back, I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer time, making memories and catching rays. LMB and I have enjoyed the wonderful Michigan summer that we have been longing for, high 80's during the day and mid 60's at night, we love it. As you know, from LMB, we have recently renovated our house with new kitchen cabinets and counters, along with updated flooring and interior doors. One of our favorite, modest upgrades to our home was the five pane doors that you can see throughout the entire home, it really accents our desire to make this house reflect our cottage style and we truly love them. The doors that were replaced have been put to use for the most part, they have been bolted to the walls in the garage for added storage for tools and wood. I had a few scrap pieces that were taking up some space in the corner and decided that they either had to go, or be used for something, and with that I created these DIY Kitchen Bookshelf The DIY Kitchen Bookshelf has sides … [Read more...]
